Located in the center of Shanghai, the Jin Jiang Hotel is where U.S. President Richard Nixon stayed when he signed the Shanghai Communique with Zhou Enlai in 1972, which re established Sino American relations. Built in 1929, green lawns and manicured shrubbery of the Jin Jiang make it a particular oasis amid Shanghai's urban heart, located on Mao Ming Nan Lu (Middle Road), a major city nightlife destination, and one block from Huai Hai Road, Shanghai's main shopping high street. The property is a short walk to the Shanxi Nan Lu Metro Station. From there, People's Square, The Bund, The New Shanghai International Convention Center and Pudong New Area are a few stops away. The Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is 12 kilometers from the property and Shanghai Pudong International Airport is 50 kilometers away.
